In our previous posts, we have explained different things about WordPress. We mentioned talked about the <a href=\"https:\/\/airoserver.com\/fa\/dedicated\/wordpress-hosting-requirements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Wordpress hosting requirements (opens in a new tab)\">WordPress hosting requirements<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/airoserver.com\/fa\/dedicated\/wordpress-installation-on-linux-host-part1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"the installation process (opens in a new tab)\">the installation process<\/a>, and some <a href=\"https:\/\/airoserver.com\/fa\/dedicated\/how-to-make-your-wordpress-website-safe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"safety hints (opens in a new tab)\">safety hints<\/a>. In this post, we are going to talk about WordPress settings.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As you know, the WordPress dashboard is accessible at yourdomain.com\/wp-admin. There you need to give the username and the pass that you&#8217;ve set during the installation process. After logging in you&#8217;ll see a menu on your left that has lots of options on it. Scroll down to find the &#8220;Settings&#8221; option and hover your mouse on it. You&#8217;ll see multiple options like General, <a href=\"https:\/\/airoserver.com\/fa\/dedicated\/wordpress-settings-writing-reading-settings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Writing (opens in a new tab)\">Writing<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/airoserver.com\/fa\/dedicated\/wordpress-settings-writing-reading-settings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Reading (opens in a new tab)\">Reading<\/a>, and etc. Let&#8217;s see what things you can do in the General tab.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>General Settings<\/strong><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Here you have some settings about the general status of your website.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\r\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2689\" src=\"https:\/\/airoserver.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/General-Settings.png\" alt=\"General-Settings\" \/><\/figure>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>Site Title:<\/strong> Write the name of your website here.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Tagline:<\/strong> A short description of your website.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>WordPress address (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/URL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"URL (opens in a new tab)\">URL<\/a>):<\/strong> The URL you use to access your WordPress.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Site address:<\/strong> Your website URL<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Email address:<\/strong> Your WordPress admin&#8217;s email so that you can receive emails and notifications when things like having a new member happens.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>Membership:<\/strong> If you check this box, anyone can become a member of your site. This means that even robots can become a member and they might cause security issues for your website. But you can use captcha and some security plugins to protect the website from robots. If you don&#8217;t check the box, you need to approve the people that request to become a member.<\/li>\r\n<li><strong>New User Default Role: <\/strong>This drop-down defines what is a role for each new user that gets added to your website.
