Installing Django on Almalinux

Django is a powerful web development framework for the Python programming language, which allows you to build dynamic and extensible web applications. In this article, we will teach you how to install it. Installing it is very easy. First, you need to install Python on your system.

Make sure Python is installed in the correct version (usually 3.6 or higher). Then, you can install Django using the Python package manager, called pip. To do this, enter the following command in the command line:

pip install Django

The first step is to install 

The recommended steps to install it on AlmaLinux are:

Step 1: Update the AlmaLinux system

Before installing it, it is recommended to update your AlmaLinux system. To do this, run the following commands in order:

sudo dnf update

sudo dnf install epel-release

Step 2: Install Python and Python Package Installer (PIP)

It is base on Python, and most of the time Python is install by default on AlmaLinux. If Python is not install yet, you can install it using the following command:

sudo dnf install python39

Then run the following command to verify Python installation and version:

python3.9 –version

To install the Python Package Installer (PIP) as well, enter the following command:

sudo dnf install python3-pip

Then you can check the installed version of PIP by running the following command:

pip3 –version

Step 3: Install Django

Now you can install it using PIP. To do this, run the following command:

pip3 install Django

After the installation is complete, you can check the installed version of Django using the following commands:

python3.9 -m django –version

<strong>django-admin –version
