AiroServer's Blog

In our last post, we mentioned all of the benefits of using links. We said that links are one of the most important things for SEO and if a page doesn’t include a link in it, it probably won’t be shown in SERP (Search Engine Result Page). In this post, we are going to explain what link building is and how it affects our SEO score.

What is link building?

What is link building?

Link building is the process of earning backlinks from other websites. As we know, links (Internal, External) are used for navigating viewers and crawlers through our website and others. There are two types of backlinks:

  • Natural: These are the most valuable links and every SEO specialist‘s goal is to get lots of these. They are the links you get when other websites think your content it trusted and precious so they naturally refer to your content as a source. This might take a lot of time to earn, but it is worth it.
  • Manual: In this case, the SEO specialist has to convince other websites with related content to give us backlinks and to link to our website.

How to earn backlinks:

There are different ways of link building and getting backlinks. Here are some of them:

  • Your partners and clients: You can always ask your long-term partners and faithful clients to give you backlinks or introduce your website on their website.
  • Blog page: Having a blog page on your website gives you the opportunity to write creative, unique, and precious content about your website and use its links on your website or the other’s.

Quality over Quantity

As we have said in the backlink post, the quality matters a lot more than the quantity in link building. Imagine there are two completely equal websites. Website A gets 10 backlinks from other websites and Website B receives 5 backlinks from powerful websites. In this case, website B gets a better ranking than A. This is because it is very important which websites you are getting backlinks from. So always try to build links in well-known and valuable websites who have content and keywords related to your website.
